Ediya Coffee Donates 100 Million KRW in Hope Fund to 200 'Mate' Members

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] On the 17th, Ediya Coffee delivered the 2021 first half 'Ediya Mate Hope Fund' to 200 part-time workers, called 'Mates,' working at their stores.

The 'Ediya Mate Hope Fund' is a program established to express gratitude to Mates working on-site and to support their dreams and hopes. The selected recipients are Mates working at Ediya Coffee stores nationwide, regardless of age. Through this delivery ceremony, a total of 100 million KRW was given to 200 people, with 500,000 KRW per person.

Since 2013, it has been implemented twice a year, in the first and second halves, and over the past nine years, a cumulative total of 1.86 billion KRW in hope funds has been delivered to 3,734 part-time workers.

Ediya Coffee selects recipients of the Hope Fund based on fair evaluation criteria such as part-time workers' idea proposals and length of service, prioritizing socially vulnerable groups. Additionally, outstanding idea contributors are separately selected for rewards, and the adopted ideas are reviewed and actively reflected in on-site store operations.
