[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jung] Major foreign media reported that the private plane carrying Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Geneva, Switzerland, where the US-Russia summit is being held, at 12:27 PM on the 16th (Geneva time).

The meeting with US President Joe Biden, scheduled to start around 1:35 PM, is expected to proceed as planned. President Putin is known for habitually arriving late to meetings with other world leaders.

Earlier, President Putin reportedly departed from Sochi, a resort city in southern Russia, to Geneva around 9:30 AM that day.

US President Joe Biden arrived in Geneva the day before. The talks are expected to last about 4 to 5 hours, including a small-scale meeting attended only by the foreign ministers of both countries, followed by an expanded meeting.
