Soonchul Cyber University (President Han Heon-su) Department of Lifelong Education Counseling announced that it held a special lecture by instructor Lim Kyung-hee on the 7th.
The special lecture, conducted under the theme "Lifelong Learning Tool Mind Map," was divided into four sessions: ▲Lecture 1 "What is a Mind Map?" ▲Lecture 2 "Mind Map as a Tool for Lifelong Learning" ▲Lecture 3 "Summary and Organization Mind Map" ▲Lecture 4 "Reading the Book Knee Scab and Writing a Book Report Mind Map." Instructor Lim Kyung-hee, who conducted the lecture (former teacher at Sangji Elementary School), has authored papers related to mind maps and is currently lecturing at the Catholic University Lifelong Education Center.
The first session covered the definition, advantages, and positive functions of mind maps, elements and organizational principles of mind maps, how to create mind maps, mind mapping tips, and mind map feedback. The second session focused on understanding the meaning of mind maps as a lifelong learning tool.
The third and fourth sessions were practical exercises, including creating a summary mind map (taking mind map) using Elisabeth K?bler-Ross's "Five Stages of Grief," and reading the book Knee Scab and organizing thoughts into a book report mind map (making mind map).
Yoon Hye-sun, head of the Department of Lifelong Education Counseling at Soonchul Cyber University, who planned this lecture, said, "We prepared this special lecture so that students can learn mind maps and think and learn more richly," adding, "In a situation where the need for convergence talents who respond to rapid social and educational changes in the 4th Industrial Revolution is increasing, we plan to continue various special lectures and programs to nurture experts in education and counseling convergence."
Along with theory, practical work, and employment-linked classes, the department holds various career development relay special lectures such as one-on-one senior mentoring for all students, emotional coaching, multiple intelligences and career, action learning, Havruta education, after-school education, Danish education, and alternative schools. In addition, the department operates an academic, career, and scholarship advising system with faculty advisors, enabling many students to obtain a four-year degree completely free of charge through a combination of national and school scholarships.
The application period for the second semester of the 2021 academic year at Soonchul Cyber University Department of Lifelong Education Counseling is from June 1 to July 9. Through the university's specialized program of lifelong free course enrollment upon admission, students can take all courses from 23 departments free of charge during their enrollment and continue to take major courses free of charge after graduation.
