[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jae-gil] Jeonbuk Gochang-gun (Governor Yu Gi-sang) announced on the 16th that it has imposed 2.1 billion KRW in automobile tax for the first installment this year on 20,093 cases.
The regular automobile tax is imposed on the owner registered in the automobile registration ledger as of June 1, and applies to all vehicles except those whose annual tax has been prepaid.
The payment period is until the 30th of this month, and payment methods include direct visit to financial institutions, virtual accounts, internet banking, credit cards, Wetax, and internet Giro, allowing for diverse and convenient payment options.
An official from the county stated, “If taxpayers fail to pay the automobile tax within the deadline, a 3% surcharge will be imposed, and if the automobile tax is overdue, disadvantages such as seizure of the vehicle license plate and vehicle seizure may occur, so please be sure to pay within the deadline.”
