Javis Begins Full-Scale Market Entry with Export of Food X-Ray Inspection Equipment to Japan...

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Jarvis, a company specializing in X-ray inspection equipment, announced that it will intensify its efforts to penetrate the Japanese and overseas markets by exporting 'FSCAN (Food X-ray Inspection Equipment)'.

Jarvis was recognized for its technological capabilities by a Japanese company and successfully attracted investment in 2019. They formed a strategic partnership and established the joint venture 'RICOH Tech Vision Inc.' Through this, they entered the Japanese food sector and industrial X-ray inspection equipment market.

Last year, due to the spread of COVID-19 in Japan, local sales conditions were unfavorable. During that period, Jarvis completed the development of products specialized for Japanese food ingredients and actively conducted marketing to introduce the ‘FSCAN’ inspection equipment to the Japanese market. The company completed orders and deliveries of food X-ray inspection equipment and is currently continuing sales activities to secure additional supply chains.

The ‘FSCAN-3280R, 4280D’ models exported by Jarvis to Japan are being utilized by various food companies. In particular, they are made in compact sizes, demonstrating excellent performance in inspecting small products such as snacks, baked goods, and nuts.

‘FSCAN’ incorporates software developed by Jarvis. Based on this, it is an inspection device capable of simultaneously checking for foreign substances, missing items, and defects. Additionally, products found to be defective can be automatically isolated, reducing the hassle of manually removing products on the production line.

A Jarvis representative stated, "This contract is significant in that it passed the high evaluation standards of Japanese technical verification and concluded a supply contract," adding, "We will actively carry out various marketing activities such as direct sales and participation in exhibitions, and will devote all efforts to expanding global sales starting with exports to Japan."
