Renault Samsung-Busan, Recruiting 2nd Applicants for 'Busan Youth Dream Car Project'... Providing EV Zoe

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Renault Samsung Motors announced on the 16th that it is recruiting the second round of applicants for the 'Busan Youth Dream Car Support Project' in collaboration with Busan Metropolitan City. The Busan Youth Dream Car project supports electric vehicles and vehicle rental fees for up to two years to assist young people newly employed in the industrial complexes of the eastern and western Busan areas, where public transportation conditions are poor, with their commuting.

Since 2018, Renault Samsung has supported a total of 330 SM3 Z.E. vehicles over the past three years, and starting this year, it has newly provided the Renault Zoe (ZOE). On May 1st, vehicles were delivered to 35 first-round selected applicants, and the second round of applicants is being recruited until July 2nd.

The eligibility for this support project includes young people aged 21 to 39 residing in Busan who work at small and medium-sized enterprises or mid-sized companies in Gangseo-gu and Gijang-gun. Additionally, applicants must have obtained a driver's license more than one year ago and be either employed or scheduled to be employed within three years from the announcement date.

If selected for the Busan Youth Dream Car project, Busan City will support 420,000 KRW per month of the electric vehicle rental fee, and the youth will pay 201,000 KRW per month (for those aged 26 and over) or 259,000 KRW per month (for those under 26), depending on the insurance premium differences by age.
