Private gatherings allowed up to 8 people for 3 weeks
Individuals fully vaccinated with 2 doses can dine at senior centers and religious facilities
[Yeongam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jeonnam Yeongam-gun (Governor Jeon Dong-pyeong) has decided to extend the Jeonnam-style social distancing for three weeks and slightly ease various quarantine rules.
According to the county on the 15th, the main changes include allowing private gatherings of up to 8 people, expanding the capacity of religious facilities to 50%, and permitting residents who have completed their second vaccine dose to eat at senior centers and religious facilities (vaccine certificate required). These measures are expected to reduce inconvenience for residents and greatly help small business owners and self-employed individuals.
However, entertainment facilities, colateks, dance halls, holdem pubs, and karaoke rooms, where confirmed cases are concentrated in other regions, will continue to restrict private gatherings to up to 4 people.
A county official said, “With the active cooperation of residents in quarantine and smooth vaccination, we are gradually returning to daily life,” and added, “We ask for the active cooperation of all residents during the three-week extension of the Jeonnam-style social distancing.”
