[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] A man in his 40s who injured his face in an island village in Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, was urgently transported by the Coast Guard.
According to Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Im Jae-su) on the 15th, a report was received on the 14th at around 9:40 PM that Mr. A (in his 40s) fell forward after tripping over an obstacle on Gageodo Island, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, injuring his face.
The Coast Guard dispatched a patrol vessel, boarded the patient and his guardian on Gageodo, and transported them. They arrived at Seomang Port in Jindo-gun at 3:24 AM on the 15th and handed them over to the waiting 119 ambulance team.
Mr. A, who was urgently transported with the help of the Coast Guard, was moved to a hospital in Mokpo for treatment.
Meanwhile, the Mokpo Maritime Police Station has transported 109 emergency patients from island areas and at sea this year using patrol vessels, protecting the precious lives and property of the people.
