Hyosung Donates 100 Million KRW to 'Narasarang Bogumjari' Project

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] On the 15th, Hyosung Group visited the Army Headquarters in Gyeryong-si, Chungnam, and donated 100 million won to the 'Nara Sarang Bogumjari' project.

The donation from Hyosung, along with contributions from about 10 other companies, will be used to support the Army and public institutions in building or repairing a total of 18 old houses for veterans. The funds will be used to repair slate roofs at risk of collapse, demolish earthen walls to build new houses, and renovate old restrooms into flush toilets. So far, this project has provided comfortable living spaces to a total of 370 veterans.

Hyosung has been supporting the 'Nara Sarang Bogumjari' project for 10 years since 2012. This project is a collaboration among the Army Headquarters, civilian, government, and military sectors to improve the living conditions of veterans of the Korean War and the Vietnam War who are facing difficulties.

In addition, Hyosung plans to deliver 10 million won in consolation money and 20 dehumidifiers to the sister unit, the Army Gwanggaeto Unit.

A Hyosung official stated, "On the occasion of June, the Month of Patriots and Veterans, we once again express our gratitude to the veterans who made noble sacrifices for the country."
