"Logistics Industry Gets Smarter: Dong-Eui University Selected for Smart Logistics Software Talent Development Project"

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dong-Eui University (President Han Su-hwan), along with Korea Maritime and Ocean University, Busan Kyungsang College, and Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (Director Lee In-sook), has entered the Busan smart logistics software (SW) talent development project.

Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency recently selected three universities, including Dong-Eui University's Department of Distribution and Logistics (overall responsible person Kang Nak-jung), through the 2021 Regional University-Linked SW Talent Development Program recruitment, presentation evaluation, and on-site inspection.

The selected universities will provide logistics IT and SW education to current students and job seekers.

Dong-Eui University's Department of Distribution and Logistics will offer an educational program from June 21 to July 28 for university students and job seekers in Busan, consisting of three areas: △ theory in the smart logistics field △ practical training △ resume guidance and mentoring for employment support, aiming to cultivate smart logistics experts suitable for the Fourth Industrial Revolution era.

Professor Kang Nak-jung of Dong-Eui University's Department of Distribution and Logistics said, "Interest and importance in smart distribution logistics in the Fourth Industrial Revolution era are increasing. Through this education, we aim to raise awareness of smart logistics, nurture SW operators, contribute to the digital revitalization of the logistics industry promoted by the government and Busan city, and cultivate competitive SW talents to help solve the problem of youth unemployment among university graduates."

Dong-Eui University is recruiting students to participate in this educational program until the 16th, and non-curricular mileage will be awarded to Dong-Eui students.
