[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Choyoung] On the 15th, Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, dismissed rumors related to 'Ferragamo' by revealing a photo of the shoes he usually wears.

Earlier, on the morning of the 13th, when a photo of Lee commuting to the National Assembly on the public bicycle, Ddareungi, was released, some online communities raised suspicions that Lee had been wearing Ferragamo shoes since his election.

On the same day, Lee responded by posting a photo of his shoes on his Facebook, saying, "I am experiencing the Ferragamo controversy that comes with becoming famous." This was a satire referring to the 'Ferragamo' controversy that Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon faced during the April 7 by-election.

The shoes Lee revealed at first glance look like Ferragamo shoes, but they are actually a completely different design of a domestically produced mid-priced product.

Lee attracted attention on the 13th for his 'Ddareungi commute.' He traveled by subway from Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, to National Assembly Station, then rode Seoul's public bicycle 'Ddareungi' from the station to the National Assembly main building.

Receiving high interest, Lee stated on his Facebook, "After finishing my schedule, I saw that Ddareungi became a hot topic," adding, "For going to broadcasting stations, in terms of punctuality and convenience, the subway Seoul city pass and Ddareungi are the best means of transportation. Originally, it was combined with kickboards, but regulations have become stricter."
