KakaoBank "Stock Accounts Can Now Be Opened at Hana Financial Investment Too"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] KakaoBank announced on the 15th that it will add 'Hana Financial Investment' to the securities firms eligible for its stock account opening service.

KakaoBank will provide a 5,000 KRW congratulatory bonus for opening a Hana Financial Investment stock account by the end of August. Additionally, it will offer overseas stock (U.S., China, Hong Kong, Japan) trading commission and foreign exchange preferential benefits for one year. The trading commission rate for the U.S. market will be reduced from the existing 0.25% to 0.1%, and foreign exchange fees will be discounted by up to 95%.

On Hana Financial Investment's mobile application 'Hana One Q Pro,' users can access real-time U.S. stock price quotes free of charge for one year. During the event period, if the cumulative overseas stock trading exceeds 1,000 USD, a 10,000 KRW reward will be given.

KakaoBank's 'Securities Firm Stock Account Opening' service was launched in March 2019. As of the end of May, 4.17 million accounts have been opened.

A KakaoBank official said, “The partnership with Hana Financial Investment has expanded the benefits for customers' stock trading,” and added, “We plan to provide differentiated convenience and benefits through partnerships with various securities firms in the future.”
