[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Dongwon Home Food announced on the 15th that its online grocery market ‘The Banchan&’, which it operates, will extend the order deadline for dawn delivery and strengthen its fresh food delivery service.
The Banchan& has extended the order deadline for fresh food dawn delivery from the previous 1 PM to 9 PM. Based on over 10 years of customer big data accumulated since 2008 through manufacturing fresh food, The Banchan& predicts order demand by day and product to prepare items accordingly, enabling expanded dawn delivery operations. This allows customers to order products more conveniently and receive them at their doorstep the next dawn.
The Banchan& prepares food directly with about 20 chefs and 80 cooks at the industry’s largest cooking facility, the DSCK Center, located in Gasan-dong, Seoul. From ingredient management to trimming and cooking, all processes are directly handled to deliver freshness and a taste closest to homemade meals.
A representative of The Banchan& said, “To provide better service to customers, we thoroughly inspected every process from product production to packaging and delivery,” adding, “We will continue to add differentiated services reflecting consumer purchasing tendencies and grow further as an integrated online grocery market.”
Meanwhile, The Banchan& is an online grocery market equipped with over 500 types of handmade side dishes, as well as meal kits, meat, seafood, salads, and various fresh ingredients. It operates a ‘Metropolitan Area Dawn Direct Delivery’ service that delivers products between 10 PM on the order day and 7 AM the next day in some metropolitan areas, providing fresh products to customers.
