Operation of recruitment for 5 members of Dongjak Youth Housing Network and 10 supporters until the 21st... Activities include discovering and providing youth-friendly housing information and SNS promotion... Realizing youth housing welfare
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Lee Chang-woo) announced on the 14th that it will take the lead in realizing housing welfare for youth by promoting the ‘Dongjak Youth Good Housing Information Support Project.’
This project was prepared to jointly consider and improve youth housing issues by providing information on youth housing transactions for the first time this year, sharing awareness and solutions, following its selection as a policy task of the Seoul Metropolitan Government Youth Autonomous Budget in 2021.
First, the district will publicly recruit five young people to participate in the Dongjak Youth Living Network.
The recruitment targets are young people aged 19 to 39 who ▲are interested in youth housing and have their resident registration address in Dongjak-gu ▲are activists related to housing policy working at workplaces (including self-employed) located in the area ▲are youth enrolled, on leave, or graduated from universities located in the district.
The selected network members will engage in activities such as discovering youth-friendly housing information in the region, accumulating data, and participating in the Dongjak Youth Housing Environment Improvement Meetings and related events for five months starting next month.
At the monthly Dongjak Youth Housing Environment Improvement Meetings and the explanatory session scheduled for August to support youth housing transactions, discussions will be held on youth housing conditions and cases, ideas for improving youth housing environments, and necessary information related to housing transactions (leases).
Additionally, 10 Dongjak Youth Living Supporters aged 19 to 39 who reside in the area or belong to local universities will also be recruited.
From July to November, supporters will conduct interviews on successful housing transactions using youth housing policies, investigate and introduce local topics in youth-friendly areas, and produce various news such as card news, videos, and poster images about youth housing welfare policies to be posted on SNS.
Youth wishing to participate in the network or as supporters can apply by emailing the person in charge at kmj1907@dongjak.go.kr by the 21st.
For more details, inquiries can be made to the Job Policy Division.
Furthermore, an online and offline consultation window will be operated to provide counseling and guidance on housing welfare policies and housing transactions within the district, supporting Dongjak-gu youth with the necessary information to find good housing.
Yoon So-yeon, head of the Job Policy Division, said, “Through this project, we will provide accurate housing information to youth so they can plan a happy future,” and added, “We will continue to promote various projects to support youth’s creative activities and create quality jobs.”
