Xiaomi Launches 'Xiaomi Mi Band 6' in Korea with 30 Sports Modes Equipped

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Xiaomi announced on the 14th that it will officially launch the latest model of its best-selling wearable product line, the ‘Xiaomi Mi Band 6’, in South Korea.

The Mi Band 6 features a 1.56-inch full-screen AMOLED touch display. It is equipped with a unique running track-shaped screen that is 50% larger than its predecessor, with a pixel density resolution of 326 PPI. Users can quickly check key metrics and notifications even while on the move or during intense exercise. Additionally, the Mi Band 6 supports more than 60 different band faces, allowing users to customize the display to match their individual style.

Designed primarily as a fitness tracker, the Mi Band 6 includes a total of 30 sports modes, doubling the number of fitness mode options. It can track indoor exercises such as stretching and high-intensity interval training, professional sports like gymnastics, and activities such as Zumba and street dance. It also supports automatic detection for six common fitness activities: outdoor running, outdoor walking, treadmill, cycling, rowing machine, and elliptical.

It also features improved health monitoring functions. These include blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) measurement[3], accurate heart rate monitoring, and enhanced sleep tracking functions covering naps, REM sleep, and sleep breathing quality. Stress monitoring, guided breathing, and women’s health tracking functions provide comprehensive information and notifications related to users’ physical condition and lifestyle.

The battery life lasts up to 14 days. It is equipped with a magnetic port that supports convenient clip-on/off charging. The Mi Band 6, certified with 5 ATM water resistance, can be worn while swimming, snorkeling, and showering. Strap colors are available in six options: black, orange, yellow, olive, ivory, and blue.

The Mi Band 6 is priced at 49,900 KRW and will be available for purchase from the 15th of this month on Coupang, 11st, Hi-Mart, Naver Store, Gmarket, WMP, Interpark, and Auction.

Steven Wang, Xiaomi East Asia General Manager, said, “We are very pleased to officially launch the Mi Band 6, the latest product in the much-loved Mi Band series,” and added, “Considering the needs of domestic customers who pursue an active lifestyle, we hope that the Mi Band 6 will help customers enjoy a healthier and more enjoyable life.”
