[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] The Ministry of Science and ICT announced that from the 14th to the 30th, a 15-day online citizen participation campaign will be held to raise awareness about improving kiosk information accessibility.
The main contents include ▲a survey on kiosk usage experience ▲a contest for ideas to improve future kiosk accessibility and usage ▲a contest to propose names that well represent "kiosks guaranteeing information accessibility."
This campaign was prepared to coincide with Information Culture Month in June, aiming to raise overall societal awareness of kiosk accessibility issues and to have citizens directly participate in solving everyday problems of our neighbors in the digital age with creative ideas.
The survey results and citizen-submitted ideas will be actively reflected in future policies to improve kiosk accessibility.
This online campaign is open to all citizens on ‘Gwanghwamoon 1st Street’ (www.gwanghwamoon1st.go.kr). Participants in the survey will be entered into a drawing (100 people) to receive mobile prizes worth 10,000 KRW. Small prizes will also be awarded for creative idea submissions.
Winners and other results can be checked on the ‘Gwanghwamoon 1st Street’ website in July.
