Dongdaemun-gu-born City Councilor O, close to Assemblyman Ahn Gyu-baek, tests positive, followed by Councilor H... Ordinance revision for Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon's administrative reorganization scheduled for the 15th remains uncertain
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Following the diagnosis of Seoul City Council member Mr. O (Secretary General), who is from Dongdaemun-gu and close to National Assembly member Ahn Gyu-baek, as a COVID-19 positive case on the 11th, another Seoul City Council member Mr. H (proportional representation) has also tested positive, putting the Seoul City Council in crisis.
According to the Seoul City Council on the 12th, with Council member Mr. O reportedly infected by his wife the previous day, another Council member Mr. H was confirmed positive, making it uncertain whether the Seoul City Council plenary session scheduled for the 15th can be held.
It is reported that Council member Mr. H was infected through contact with Mr. H and others.
The regional office of Assembly member Ahn Gyu-baek reported 13 additional confirmed cases on the 12th alone, bringing the total number of confirmed cases over three days to 28.
As a result, it is expected that the processing of the ordinance for organizational restructuring necessary for Mayor Oh Se-hoon's city administration will also face setbacks.
Additionally, it is known that a confirmed case participated in a recent interview for contract public officials at the Seoul City Council, leading interviewers and others to undergo specimen testing.
