HL Science Acquires Patent Rights for Metabolic Syndrome Prevention

[Asia Economy Reporter Junho Hwang] HL Science announced on the 11th that it has acquired a Taiwanese patent for a composition for the prevention, improvement, and treatment of obesity and/or metabolic syndrome accompanied by diabetes, containing an IB complex as an active ingredient.

The company explained, "The IB complex in this patent inhibits the enzymatic activity of pancreatic lipase, thereby hindering the digestion and absorption of ingested fats, suppressing fat synthesis, promoting fat breakdown, and regulating energy metabolism."
