Fasoo Provides Identification and Classification Solutions for Local Governments

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Fasoo announced on the 10th that it supports the management of confidential documents for local governments with a data identification and classification solution optimized for the On-Nara 2.0 system. Fasoo Data Radar, a data identification and classification solution, has undergone a verification process supporting the On-Nara Document 2.0 system.

Recently, concerns over the leakage of confidential documents have increased, and electronic document management and security regulations are being strengthened day by day, raising the importance of managing and securing confidential documents in local governments. Compliance with laws such as the Information Disclosure Act and the Personal Information Protection Act, and preventing the leakage of confidential documents, highlight data identification and classification as an essential first step in document security.

Fasoo Data Radar supports the standard ODT (Open Document Text) format of the On-Nara system used by local governments and public institutions, as well as public institution standard document applications such as MS Office, Hangeul, and PDF. It identifies documents stored in various repositories including PCs, servers, and storage, and automatically or manually classifies confidential important documents. Classified documents can be encrypted, quarantined, or deleted according to management policies, and document alerts notify users of public and confidential information when documents are taken outside.

Users can immediately grasp the status and security form of confidential documents on their own PCs, and administrators can do so for all users through a visual integrated dashboard. Detailed document identification information can be collected not only by file name, author, and creation date but also through keywords in the document body. It also supports automated and updatable document detection rules based on internal document management regulations, the Information Disclosure Act, security work regulation enforcement rules, and the Personal Information Protection Act. Additionally, institutional document certification and document tracking functions help respond quickly in case of unavoidable leakage incidents.

Cho Gyugon, CEO of Fasoo, explained, "The first step in document security to meet increasingly complex security compliance and prevent confidential information leakage is to identify and classify the data held." He added, "Fasoo’s Data Radar, verified to be optimized for the On-Nara 2.0 document system, will serve as a foundation to strengthen document management and security for public institutions and local governments."
