[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in will hold bilateral talks with the United Kingdom, Australia, and the European Union (EU) on the occasion of attending the Group of Seven (G7) summit scheduled to take place from the 11th to the 13th (local time).


The Blue House announced on the 10th, "It has been confirmed that President Moon will hold bilateral talks with the UK, Australia, and the EU during his attendance at the G7 summit."


President Moon will participate in his first in-person multilateral diplomatic event since COVID-19 at the G7 summit. At this event, he will hold bilateral talks with the host countries, the UK and Australia, as well as with the EU.


After concluding the G7 summit, President Moon will travel to Austria, where on the 14th and 15th he will hold a summit and state banquet with President Alexander Van der Bellen of Austria, and a meeting with Chancellor Sebastian Kurz. This will be followed by meetings with Ludwig, the Mayor of Vienna, and Wolfgang Sobotka, the Speaker of the National Council.


Subsequently, President Moon will carry out his schedule in Spain from the 15th to the 17th. He is expected to attend a state banquet with King Felipe, hold talks and a luncheon with Prime Minister Pedro S?nchez, visit the Senate and Madrid City Hall, and then participate in business events in both Madrid and Barcelona.
