[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] COEX announced on the 10th that it will hold the dessert specialty exhibition 'Drink & Dessert Show (hereinafter DD Show)' for three days from the 11th at COEX Hall D.
Now in its third year, the DD Show showcases not only beverage and dessert products but also the latest related trends to the key industry consumers, the 2030 generation, and cafe-related workers. Under the slogan "We will show you the sweet taste of life!", the exhibition features various desserts and beverages along with a range of experiential events.
In particular, in response to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the increase in homebodies, the exhibition offers homemade desserts such as handmade cookies and macarons, as well as mini refrigerators, fruit syrups, and coffee supplies for a refreshing home cafe lifestyle. Home baking and home cafe seminars on various topics such as gelato, iced tea, bean-to-bar chocolate, and coffee brewing will be conducted by professional baristas and patissiers.
Visitors can also explore diverse special zones reflecting eco-friendly consumption trends. The 'Good Dessert Special Zone,' composed of eco-friendly and organic dessert items, and the 'Coffee Pharmacy' experiential event, which makes air fresheners by reusing coffee beans, allow attendees to experience the latest ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) trends in the industry.
Additionally, there is a traditional liquor special zone that has gained increased interest from the MZ generation on SNS and online communities. At the 'Taste Salon' traditional liquor planning zone, visitors can receive recommendations for traditional liquors suitable for different situations and purchase various traditional liquors directly.
A DD Show official stated, "This is the only exhibition in Korea where MZ generation consumers leading the dessert and beverage industry and participating companies can communicate directly," adding, "We hope it will be an event that everyone can enjoy safely and satisfactorily through various experiential activities."
