[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] At around 4:20 PM on the 9th, a building under demolition collapsed in Hakdong, Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.

The debris from the collapsed building covered a passing city bus and two cars, and reports have been received that a worker was buried.

The fire authorities reported that about 10 passengers were on the city bus, while the other two vehicles were completely buried, and the number of occupants is unknown.

Currently, seven people have been rescued; five received on-site emergency treatment, and two were transported to a university hospital.

The fire authorities are conducting additional rescue operations.
