Major US Media, UK Government, Amazon Down: "Technical Issues in Cloud Computing Services" (Update)

On the 8th (local time), AFP and BBC reported that major global media websites such as The New York Times (NYT), Bloomberg News, the UK's The Guardian, and the Financial Times (FT) experienced access disruptions. In addition to media companies, the websites of the UK government, Amazon, community site Reddit, and Twitch also went down.

BBC and AP News reported that the access disruptions appeared to be caused by technical issues at Fastly, a cloud computing service provider based in San Francisco, which counts these organizations as clients.
