[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] How long will the challenge continue? An unusual challenge event is unfolding at Dongseo University, which is approaching its 30th anniversary. The challenge involves donations to the university development fund and is conducted in a relay format.
Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) announced on the 8th that it has started a donation relay titled "After Dongseo to Before Dongseo" to celebrate its 30th anniversary next year and to promote the school's development and leap forward.
The first baton was taken by the first donor, Han Jeong-ho (Class of '05, Department of Finance and Insurance, Deputy Branch Manager at DB Financial Investment Centum Branch). On the 8th, Mr. Han visited the president's office to deliver the development fund. The amount donated by Mr. Han was 2 million KRW, and there is no fixed amount for the donation.
The donation relay proceeds by the first donor nominating the next donor to make a contribution.
Attendees at the donation relay handover ceremony included President Jang Je-guk, Vice President for External Cooperation Kim Dae-sik, and Director of Student Employment Support Song Kang-young.
Mr. Han Jeong-ho said, "I am pleased to be the first participant in the donation relay. Although it is not a large amount, I hope it helps the development of the school. I nominated alumnus Kwon Hae-seok as the second donor, and I am grateful for his willingness to join."
President Jang Je-guk expressed gratitude, saying, "I thank the two alumni for willingly participating in the donation relay. I hope the continuous donation relay will continue to serve as a foundation for the university's development."
There is growing interest in the university community about how long the challenge-style Dongseo University donation relay will continue.
