[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] K Shopping announced on the 8th that it has signed a business agreement with Jeju Economic and Trade Promotion Agency and Jeju Venture Business Association to revitalize the local economy and expand distribution channels. Through this agreement, they will cooperate for mutual growth by jointly developing products and establishing differentiated product operation strategies.
K Shopping will participate in discovering exclusive products and jointly developing region-specific products. Additionally, it will identify excellent small and medium-sized enterprises in Jeju that are struggling due to a lack of distribution channel capabilities in cooperation with Jeju Economic and Trade Promotion Agency and support their entry into K Shopping. K Shopping plans to organize a special Jeju exhibition on its online mall to showcase various products and schedule outstanding products for TV broadcasting.
K Shopping will open a dedicated Jeju product shop within its TV MCN. The product range will be expanded to include seafood such as Jeju galchi (hairtail), mackerel, and jogi (croaker), as well as specialty processed products like milk, organic eggs, and Jeju tangerine juice. Products jointly developed with Jeju Economic and Trade Promotion Agency and Jeju Venture Business Association will also be exclusively listed and sold.
K Shopping will broadcast certified products on various K Shopping platforms including mobile apps and TV. Customers can find various products such as Jeju’s representative specialty black pork hind leg 3-piece set, Jeju silver hairtail, and dried yellow corvina at special prices.
Jung Ki-ho, CEO of KTH, said, “Based on this business agreement, we will cooperate with excellent small and medium-sized enterprises in Jeju, including certified products, to contribute to mutual growth through expanding distribution channels,” and added, “Through future collaboration, we plan to expand products by including fresh foods such as Jeju seafood and agricultural products, as well as various HMR and convenience foods.”
