[Asia Economy Reporter Joesulgina] Samsung Electronics' new foldable smartphone 'Galaxy Z Flip3,' set to be released soon, is expected to be unveiled in more than four colors, including Light Violet, Green, Beige, and Black. These colors were also confirmed in previously leaked images.
IT tipster Ice Universe tweeted on the 7th (local time), "Light Violet, Green, Beige, Black. Z Flip3 100%," expressing confidence in these four colors for the new Galaxy Z Flip. Earlier, industry insiders predicted that the new Z Flip would be released in a total of eight versions based on various color options.
The four colors mentioned by Ice Universe on this day were also confirmed in leaked images presumed to be Samsung Electronics' marketing materials. IT specialist media PhoneArena reported, "Interestingly, these colors also appeared in leaked marketing materials," adding, "The release colors or marketing color names may vary by country."
PhoneArena evaluated that Samsung's diversification of Z Flip colors indicates a significant bet on the soon-to-be-released foldable smartphone lineup. Previously, including the Thom Browne edition, the original Z Flip launched with four colors, and the following year, the Z Flip 5G was released in three versions.
The soon-to-be-released Galaxy Z Flip3 will also feature slight design changes. According to leaked images, the rear camera will be arranged horizontally, and the cover display will be expanded to 1.83 inches. This gives the back a two-tone design appearance. The bezel is thinner than the previous model. The main display remains 6.7 inches, the same as before. The weight is also unchanged. Some speculate that the Snapdragon 888 will be installed.
The retail price is estimated to be under $1,000. The Galaxy Z Flip 5G was launched at $1,449.99 and later reduced to $1,199.
The new Z Flip is expected to be unveiled around August alongside the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy S21 FE (Fan Edition).
