According to the county on the 7th, the evaluation meeting was held on the 4th under the joint organization of Haenam-gun and the Jeonnam Center for Creative Economy and Innovation to develop sales channels, improve quality, and enhance marketing competitiveness of Haenam's excellent agricultural and marine specialty products.
About 40 products from 18 local farms participated in the evaluation, showcasing subtropical domestic fruits such as bananas and mangoes, as well as Haenam's representative agricultural products including rice and sweet potato bread, lotus leaf rice, handmade grilled short rib patties, red beets, onion and garlic pickles.
More than 10 corporate MDs from major distribution channels with nationwide networks, including Nonghyup Hanaro Distribution, GS Home Shopping, GS Retail, Y-Mart, and E-Land Retail, participated to thoroughly inspect production processes, certification status, product composition, design, marketing, and provided on-site coaching and product sourcing.
In particular, domestic fruits like bananas and mangoes are classified as premium fruits and are still at an early stage of recognition in the domestic consumer market. Various coaching sessions were conducted on packaging methods, product design, and ripening process explanations for efficient promotion and marketing.
Additionally, new products such as Haenam sweet potato bread, kimchi, pickles, baby broccoli, and flower rini were introduced, and consultations and evaluations were conducted on discovering excellent products and expanding sales channels. The final results of this evaluation and consultation meeting will be announced around mid-June.
Haenam-gun is expanding stable sales channels and strengthening marketing competitiveness of excellent agricultural and marine specialty products by selling them through the county-operated online shopping mall Haenam Miso, supporting packaging materials, delivery fees (logistics costs), detailed pages, and conducting various marketing activities such as home shopping and live shopping broadcasts.
This year, to expand sales channels, improve quality, and enhance customer service satisfaction for excellent agricultural and marine specialty products, plans are in place to hold three agricultural and marine specialty product evaluation meetings, three education and advanced site visits, and six exhibitions by the end of the year.
