[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Choi Jun-woo, President of Korea Housing Finance Corporation, participated in the 'GoGo Challenge' on the 7th.
This challenge is a campaign started by the Ministry of Environment in January to reduce plastic usage in daily life. The Housing Finance Corporation plans to spread the message "Reduce the use of disposable plastic cups, promote the use of reusable cups" through social networking services (SNS) such as Facebook.
President Choi said, "The prolonged COVID-19 pandemic has caused a sharp increase in the use of disposable containers, severely impacting the global environment," adding, "If public institutions take the lead in making it a habit to reduce the use of disposable containers, it will bring positive changes throughout society."
Choi, who joined the campaign upon the recommendation of Lee Seung-woo, President of Korea Southern Power, recommended Moon Sung-yu, President of Korea Asset Management Corporation, and Lee Myung-ho, President of Korea Securities Depository, as the next participants.
