InterContinental Seoul COEX Launches 'Mango Bingsu + Afternoon Tea' Set

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] InterContinental Seoul COEX announced on the 7th that it will introduce the 'Mango Dessert Package,' which allows customers to enjoy both the signature dessert using mango, the Apple Mango Afternoon Tea Set, and two types of mango bingsu.

The package is available at the 1st-floor lobby lounge with up to a 30% discount off the regular price until the end of August. It targets those who want to enjoy the exotic taste of mangoes they experienced while on summer vacation abroad in various ways.

Since sales began in May, the Apple Mango Afternoon Tea Set recorded sales 2.5 times higher in May compared to the same period last year. Compared to the popular strawberry afternoon tea set sold this spring, sales increased by about 30% compared to April.

The Apple Mango Afternoon Tea Set features the flavor of apple mango, which has a red color like an apple and a high sugar content, and includes various mango desserts such as mango dacquoise, mango eclair, and mango mille-feuille. Three types of homemade jams, including the apple mango cream cheese flavor made by Korea’s master pastry chef Dongwoo Kim, are served with scones, and customers can choose between tea or coffee. The same set is also available in a to-go format.

The 'Mango Dessert Package,' which allows customers to enjoy both the Apple Mango Afternoon Tea and two types of mango bingsu, is available in sets for either three or four people. When pre-booking and pre-paying via Naver, the three-person set includes a 2-person Apple Mango Afternoon Tea Set, one mango bingsu, and three cups of coffee, offered at a discounted price of 93,600 KRW. The four-person set includes a 2-person Apple Mango Afternoon Tea Set, two mango bingsus, and four cups of coffee, available at a discounted price of 109,800 KRW (tax and service charge included).
