Presenting Mapo Statistical Yearbook in Graphs Covering 17 Fields Including Population, Health, and Environment... Increased Usability by Providing Excel Files Instead of Existing PDF Format, Easier Search
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Mapo-gu (Mayor Yudonggyun) provides 202 types of statistics in 17 fields included in the Mapo Statistical Yearbook, published annually, in highly usable file formats such as graphs, tables, and Excel files.
The Mapo Statistical Yearbook contains data necessary for policy formulation and implementation in administration and safety, as well as academic research, and is composed of 17 fields including ▲population ▲agriculture, forestry, and manufacturing ▲distribution, finance, and trade balance ▲transportation, tourism, and information and communication ▲health ▲social security ▲environment, among others.
Until now, the district had published the Mapo Statistical Yearbook as a yearly booklet and provided it in electronic file (PDF) format, but starting this year, it has introduced a 'statistical visualization service' to allow more convenient browsing and utilization.
In particular, statistical tables that allow tracking trends by year can be compared in time series through graphs, and all statistical tables are provided as Excel files to enable residents to use them more conveniently.
The district explained that previously, to obtain statistical data from the Mapo Statistical Yearbook, one had to download the booklet file and check the table of contents, but through this statistical visualization service, users can easily search for the necessary statistics by setting items, topics, and fields.
The statistical visualization service can be accessed by clicking the ‘About Mapo-gu ? Mapo Statistics ? Mapo Statistics Center’ menu on the Mapo-gu website or by directly visiting the Mapo Statistics Center site.
Mayor Yudonggyun of Mapo-gu said, “We expect many residents to utilize the statistics provided by Mapo-gu through the statistical visualization service, which is being implemented for the first time this year,” and added, “We will strive to discover more statistics and expand the service in the future.”
