[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Lee Dong-jin, Mayor of Dobong-gu, visited the Dobong-gu Public Health Center on the 4th and completed the second dose of the AstraZeneca (AZ) COVID-19 vaccination.

Mayor Lee Dong-jin personally experienced the entire vaccination process to check for any inconveniences from the residents' perspective and encouraged the staff working on the frontlines of COVID-19.

After completing the second dose on that day, Mayor Lee Dong-jin received a vaccination certificate verifying his vaccination status and was also guided on the ‘Electronic Vaccination Certificate’ available through the ‘KDCA COOV’ mobile app, which allows easy online verification.

Meanwhile, on April 5th, as the head of the local Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, Mayor Lee Dong-jin took the first vaccine dose to increase trust in the safety of the government’s vaccination program and to encourage residents’ participation.

Mayor Lee Dong-jin stated, “The government announced the ‘Support Plan for Daily Life Recovery for Those Who Have Completed Vaccination’ on May 26th, which adjusts quarantine measures in three stages depending on the progress of COVID-19 vaccinations.” He added, “Everyday life is not far away now. I hope the residents of Dobong-gu and all citizens of the Republic of Korea will join together in this ‘step of hope’ leading back to normal life.”
