[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] Lee Jun-seok, former Supreme Council member and next leadership candidate of the People Power Party, mentioned the strengths of Democratic Party lawmakers Jang Kyung-tae and Kim Nam-guk, evaluating that they "can turn into a formidable force."
On the 6th, Lee posted on Facebook, saying, "This evaluation comes after sometimes being sharply pricked by them."
He emphasized, "Although the Moon Jae-in administration's policy direction was flawed, and at first glance it may seem like they are digging in to defend it, if the Moon administration regains its senses, or the regime changes, or if they properly establish presidential candidates, they will no longer have to defend the Moon administration's mistakes and can transform into a formidable force."
Lee identified the strengths of lawmaker Jang as confidence and lawmaker Kim as diligence. He also viewed former Democratic Party Supreme Council member Park Sung-min and Supreme Council member Lee Dong-hak positively for their expressiveness and ability to take action.
He explained, "Although I may receive harsh evaluations from the conservative camp for expressing different thoughts, Kim is someone who studies and prepares diligently on all issues, and Jang is well-versed and confident due to his long history of party activities."
He also emphasized the discovery of young politicians within the party. Lee said, "No matter how much we are in the middle of the party convention, and the convention is drawing attention, with young people's interest in politics focused on our side, the young politicians of the Democratic Party who are preparing from the grassroots level are numerically far superior. If I become the leader, first and foremost, I must quickly select talented individuals who can compete in debate battles to face them and allow them to appear on broadcasts. The presidential election is already near, and there is no time."
