KT Offers 'Electric Car Camping' Enjoyed on Digital Platforms

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT announced on the 6th that it held the second ‘DIGICO Camping,’ where participants can enjoy car camping with electric vehicles and experience various digital platform services of KT. This DIGICO Camping was created in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization and Anseong City.

As camping outdoors away from the city has become increasingly popular recently, areas near Gyeonggi Province, which are easily accessible from the metropolitan area, are gaining attention as convenient getaway spots. Following the event in April, this DIGICO Camping was held at ‘Anseong Matchum Land,’ a small but promising tourist destination selected by the Korea Tourism Organization.

Families participating in the event experienced contactless food service by an ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) Cooking Robot’ at the eco-friendly electric vehicle camping site, and enjoyed movies and dramas recommended through KT’s video service ‘Seezn’ using AI curation. They also participated in an online cooking class held in Seoul via ‘KT BIZ MEET,’ preparing dinner while enjoying camping. Additionally, they rode bicycles from the shared bicycle platform ‘TAZO’ to take photos at key locations within Anseong Matchum Land Theme Park and visited the Anseong Matchum Astronomy Science Center to observe celestial bodies.

Kim Hyung-wook, Vice President and Head of KT’s Future Value Promotion Office, said, “This second DIGICO Camping became a more meaningful event through collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization and Anseong City,” adding, “We will continue to cooperate with the Korea Tourism Organization to establish DIGICO Camping as a representative eco-friendly car camping experience in the contactless era, while expanding partnerships with various companies and local governments.”
