[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Moon Seung-wook, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Lee Ho-seung, Chief Presidential Secretary for Policy at the Blue House, met with the CEOs of the five major conglomerates to express gratitude for their contributions to the achievements of the US visit and to discuss current economic issues.
According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on the 4th, Minister Moon and Secretary Lee held a private meeting at an undisclosed location in Seoul with the CEOs of the five major groups: Lee In-yong of Samsung Electronics, Gong Young-woon of Hyundai Motor Company, Jang Dong-hyun of SK Inc., Kwon Young-soo, Vice Chairman of LG Corp., and Lee Dong-woo of Lotte Holdings.
Minister Moon and Secretary Lee expressed their appreciation to the attendees for the efforts and contributions of the business community, including the economic achievements of the Korea-US summit, and it is reported that they broadly discussed industry issues, challenges, and support measures for attracting the 2030 Busan Expo.
