On May 14th, the 'Security Risk Prediction AI Competition through Log Analysis' concluded, where the Asia Economy Education Center training team participated and won 4th place.
Hosted by Dacon, Korea's first data science competition platform, and organized by the Research and Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation, Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI), and M2Uple, this competition involved predicting the security risk level of systems and detecting previously unknown attack patterns through log data analysis using natural language processing models.
The competition consisted of two evaluations: the first and second rounds. Only Python and R languages were allowed. The first evaluation was scored using 50% randomly sampled test data and was disclosed during the competition period. The second evaluation was scored using the remaining 50% of the test data and was disclosed immediately after the competition ended.
The team of five members?Park Kang-in, Woo Yeon-su, Jung Hyun-joo, Jin Yong-bin, and Choi Ji-hoon (team name: log in&out)?were trainees in the 'Python-based Applied AI Developer Training Course' under the 'Digital Core Practical Talent Development Project (K-Digital)' organized by the Asia Economy Education Center. Applying the natural language processing techniques and models learned in the course, they developed a model with a high prediction accuracy of 0.8893, achieving 4th place among 441 participating teams in their first competition.
Park Kang-in, a trainee in this course, commented, "I believe that the data analysis and natural language processing skills I learned during the long 900-hour training helped me achieve good results in the competition. I want to participate in more contests and achieve even better outcomes in the future."
Meanwhile, the Asia Economy Education Center has participated as a youth employment academy training institution since 2014 and has been operating educational programs aimed at IT talent development since 2019. The award-winning 'K-Digital Training Python-based Applied AI Developer Training Course' is designed to meet the increasing demand for AI technology across various industries and the growing need for professionals who develop and operate AI programs. This training course focuses on AI application programming development and utilization, including natural language processing applied in information technology fields, data analysis, and AI model implementation in industrial sectors.
Currently, five training courses are in operation, and trainees are being recruited for the 'Big Data, Artificial Intelligence' course starting in June.
