[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] Jeil Construction is launching ‘Unjeong New Town Jeil Punggyeongchae 2nd Grand Venue’ in Paju, Gyeonggi Province this month. It is the follow-up complex to last year’s ‘Unjeong New Town Jeil Punggyeongchae 1st Grand First’.


Located in Block A10 of Unjeong New Town District 3 in Paju City, this complex will be built with a total of 660 households, ranging from one basement floor to a maximum of 23 floors above ground. The number of households by exclusive area is 172 units of 59㎡, 318 units of 84㎡, and 170 units of 104㎡.


Unjeong New Town, a second-phase new town, is well equipped with various infrastructures. Access to Jayuro, 2nd Jayuro, and the Seoul-Munsan Expressway is convenient, allowing quick travel to urban centers such as Gimpo, Goyang, and Seoul. Various railway network projects are also actively underway. Unjeong Station (tentative name), the starting point of the Metropolitan Area Express Railway (GTX)-A, is planned to be built in Unjeong New Town. Once opened in 2023, it will take 20 minutes from Unjeong to Seoul Station and less than 30 minutes to Samsung Station. Additionally, in April, the ‘4th National Railway Network Construction Plan’ included the extension project of Line 3 (Ilsan Line) to Paju.


There are many industrial complexes nearby that form the demand base for apartments. To the west of Unjeong New Town are Sinchon Industrial Complex, Munbal Industrial Complex, and Paju Publishing Complex. Various high-tech industrial complexes such as Paju Medical Cluster and Unjeong Technovalley are also being promoted nearby.


Within the complex, a public daycare center is planned, and a kindergarten will be built right in front. Elementary, middle, and high schools are conveniently close. Large marts such as E-Mart (Paju branch) and Homeplus (Paju Unjeong branch) are also nearby. Public offices and medical facility sites are planned in the vicinity, providing abundant living infrastructure.


A sales official said, “Because it is located in a school district and close to workplaces, and the price ceiling system is applied, a reasonable sale price compared to surrounding market prices is expected, attracting high interest from real demand buyers in their 30s and 40s. We plan to develop it as a premium complex with excellent interior design befitting the Jeil Punggyeongchae brand.”
