[Asia Economy Reporter Joselgina] KT announced on the 4th that its online video service (OTT) Seezn will broadcast the 2022 Korea men's national soccer team vs. Turkmenistan 2022 Qatar World Cup Asian second qualifying round match live for free on the evening of the 5th.
Led by coach Paulo Bento, the Korean national soccer team will play the 4th match of Group H in the second round of World Cup qualifiers against Turkmenistan at 8 p.m. on the 5th at Goyang Sports Complex. The Turkmenistan match, which is expected to feature the '1992-born European trio' Son Heung-min (Tottenham), Hwang Ui-jo (Bordeaux), and Lee Jae-sung (Holstein Kiel) at the forefront, sold out its tickets within 30 minutes of the start of reservations.
Seezn also plans to broadcast live the men's Olympic team friendly matches against Ghana, held on the 12th and 15th at Jeju World Cup Stadium. The men's Olympic team will include overseas players such as Lee Kang-in, who recently returned after finishing the league, as well as Lee Seung-woo and Jung Woo-young. These two matches against Ghana are expected to effectively finalize the roster for the Tokyo Olympics main tournament.
The matches will be broadcast on the Seezn application and website (https://seezntv.com). Seezn live broadcasts are free for anyone regardless of carrier, as long as they log in. Users can log in by choosing among Seezn ID, kt ID, mobile phone number, or SNS accounts (Naver, KakaoTalk, Facebook, Apple ID).
Yoo Hyun-jung, KT Mobile Media Business P-TF Head (Executive Director), said, “We prepared the broadcast to ease the disappointment of only 10% stadium capacity allowed due to social distancing in the metropolitan area,” and added, “We hope soccer fans can conveniently enjoy live broadcasts anytime and anywhere through Seezn.”
