The volunteer group of the National Credit Union Federation of Korea is taking a commemorative photo after conducting grave maintenance volunteer work at Daejeon National Cemetery.
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The Shinhan Credit Union Central Association volunteer group announced on the 4th that they conducted a 'Graveyard Maintenance Volunteer Activity in Commemoration of Veterans Month' at the National Daejeon Memorial Cemetery.
Twenty Shinhan Credit Union executives and employees offered flowers and paid respects at the Memorial Monument for the Patriots and Veterans, planted Taegeukgi flags, and carried out graveyard maintenance activities such as environmental cleanup. Considering the COVID-19 situation, the event was held with a minimal number of participants under strict quarantine guidelines.
Since 2012, Shinhan Credit Union has been conducting graveyard maintenance volunteer activities at the Daejeon Memorial Cemetery in cooperation with social contribution organizations in Daejeon for 10 years, honoring the spirit of the patriotic martyrs and veterans.
Kim Yoonsik, Chairman of the Shinhan Credit Union Central Association, said, "We will remember the noble spirit of the patriotic martyrs and the precious sacrifices made by those who gave their lives for the country," adding, "Shinhan Credit Union will continue to actively participate in veterans-related events to fulfill its social role and responsibility."
