"Used as a communication channel to gather diverse opinions and ideas from citizens"
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] The 'Guri AI Platform City Development Task Force' (hereinafter referred to as the Task Force), responsible for the Guri City Han River waterfront urban development project, has opened an online promotional center.
The Task Force stated on the 4th, "The online promotional center contains the vision and implementation plans for the Han River waterfront urban development project, a core project of Guri City," adding, "The online promotional center was opened first to build consensus with Guri citizens ahead of the offline promotional center opening in the second half of the year."
The Task Force plans to use the online promotional center not only to convey the current status of the project but also as a communication channel to gather diverse opinions and innovative ideas from citizens.
The Guri City Han River waterfront urban development project aims to complement the side effects of existing new town developments, prevent the hollowing out of the old town in advance, and ensure harmonious development throughout the entire city.
Accordingly, the Task Force will prioritize projects applicable to the old town by reflecting citizens' opinions.
The first phase of preliminary projects includes ▲building a digital twin for the digital transformation of Guri traditional market ▲undergrounding power lines and installing free Wi-Fi ▲expanding bicycle road infrastructure connecting the Han River waterfront and the old town ▲installing a digital signage-based municipal promotion bulletin board.
Following this, a Guri AI Platform City promotional center will be opened, allowing visitors to directly experience the smart city transformation of Guri City, incorporating domestic and international ICT technologies.
Meanwhile, the Guri City Han River waterfront urban development project was launched in earnest in February when Guri Urban Corporation and the private developer, Guri AI Platform City Development Task Force, signed a business agreement.
The Task Force is a consortium led by KDB Industrial Bank, including 15 companies such as Eugene Corporation, KT, Daewoo Construction, Korea Land Trust, and Kakao Enterprise. Currently, the Task Force is preparing to establish a special purpose corporation by the end of this year.
