[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Yoon Hee-sook, a member of the People Power Party, recently sarcastically commented on the book "The Time of Jo Guk" published by former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk on the 3rd, saying, "His narcissism, which is expressed relentlessly despite being caught doing something that ordinary people would be ashamed of and bow their heads, is truly astonishing."

On the same day, Yoon posted on her Facebook a post titled "If you want to find out what fairness is, look up and see Jo Guk, the icon of unfairness."

She said, "I encountered the Jo Guk case while working as a professor. More significant than the cover-up of the inspection or the private equity fund was the issue of proxy testing," and opened up by saying, "When I saw that a professor parent helped solve his son's open-book exam by putting their heads together, I thought that person would never be able to raise his face in the academic community for the rest of his life."

She pointed out, "A professor who must strictly deal with students' cheating solved his child's exam questions on their behalf, so it is impossible to expect to be treated as a professor."

Additionally, Yoon referred to Cho's book "The Time of Jo Guk," saying, "Seeing his book stir up the country again and presidential candidates competing to express sympathy, I feel heartbroken for the discipline of the country that has collapsed and is now being trampled upon."

Furthermore, she said, "If there is one consolation, it is that thanks to former Minister Cho, the community's contemplation on what fairness means in our era has deepened," and posted a lecture video titled "What is fairness in our era?" held for party members on the 2nd.

Referring to the lecture video, Yoon said, "I hope this thought stimulates and merges with other thoughts, leading to higher thinking, so that a consensus on what fairness is in our era and what should be done can be formed," adding, "If that can happen, the Jo Guk case, which troubled our people so much over the past two years, may be remembered as a convulsion before growth."

The book is a record of the series of events that occurred after Cho was nominated as Minister of Justice on August 9, 2019, and his honest feelings about them.
