Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, is visiting the Our Neighborhood Care Center Jungnang No.1 branch in Sinnae-dong and participating as a one-day care teacher.

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Ryoo Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, made a surprise transformation as a one-day caregiver.

On the afternoon of the 31st of last month, Ryoo Kyung-gi visited the Our Neighborhood Care Center Jungnang Branch No. 1 located in Sinnye-dong and carried out activities as a one-day caregiver.

As a one-day caregiver, he took on four missions: reading storybooks to children, playing the game of Omok together, singing along to children's ukulele performances, and having conversations on the terrace while attentively listening to the children's concerns. The children at the Care Center responded enthusiastically.

Ryoo Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "While working as a one-day caregiver, I had a meaningful experience seeing how the children spend time with their teachers. Moving forward, I will strive to expand the Our Neighborhood Care Center to ease childcare concerns for dual-income families."

The district opened the first Our Neighborhood Care Center in Sinnye 1-dong in February last year, and in May this year, the second branch was opened in Muk 1-dong. The third and fourth branches are also planned to be added in the future.
