According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 3rd, as of midnight, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk area was 4,724 (including 133 imported cases), an increase of 11 from the previous day. The new confirmed cases by region were 4 in Gimcheon, 3 each in Pohang and Gyeongsan, and 1 in Gumi.
The 4 new confirmed cases in Gimcheon are related to the S Danran Bar, where cluster infections continue to spread. Two were identified through tests before release from self-quarantine, and the other two were later identified as contacts.
Among the 3 new confirmed cases in Pohang, 2 are related to a large supermarket in the area where a cluster infection occurred, and the other is a contact of a Gyeonggi-do resident who tested positive on the 1st.
The 3 new confirmed cases in Gyeongsan are all contacts of residents of Daegu, and the 1 new confirmed case in Gumi is also a contact of a resident of Dalseong-gun, Daegu, who tested positive on the 1st.
In Gyeongsangbuk-do, 80 people (excluding imported cases) tested positive across the region in the past week, resulting in a weekly daily average of 11.4 confirmed cases. Currently, 2,353 people are in self-quarantine.
