[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 3rd that the first local government public competitive recruitment written exam of the year will be held on the 5th at 912 exam rooms across 42 test centers in 6 regions within the province.
The test centers in the 6 regions will be set up in Pohang, Gyeongju, Gimcheon, Gumi, Andong, and Gyeongsan.
A total of 17,655 candidates applied for the large-scale public recruitment exam, which will select 1,715 people across 32 job categories including the Grade 9 administrative positions, resulting in an average competition rate of 10.3 to 1.
This year, the public recruitment exam allows COVID-19 confirmed patients and those in self-quarantine to take the exam, and Gyeongbuk Province explained that a close cooperation system has been established with related organizations such as the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, public health centers, fire headquarters, and medical centers.
The results of the written exam will be announced on July 8. The interview exams will be conducted from August 2 to 27, and the final successful candidates will be announced on September 9.
