Sangju City Holds 'Nameplate Attachment' Event for Families of National Merit Recipients

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Sangju City announced on the 3rd that on the 1st, it simultaneously held the 'National Merit Plaque Attachment' event in Oeseo-myeon, Oenam-myeon, Bukmun-dong, Moseo-myeon, and Hamchang-eup.

The 'National Merit Plaque Attachment Project' was actively promoted starting in 2019 by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the March 1st Movement and the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, beginning with independence patriots.

Ahn Young-mook, head of Oeseo-myeon, said, "Through the plaque attachment project, we reflect on the meaning of honoring veterans and convey respect and gratitude to national merit recipients," adding, "We will strive to create a local atmosphere that honors and respects the noble spirit of national merit recipients."
