[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Dongyang Life Insurance announced on the 2nd that it has introduced a vaccine leave system that grants paid leave to employees who have received the COVID-19 vaccine to encourage vaccination.
Employees who have been vaccinated will be granted one day of paid leave on the day of their first and second vaccinations regardless of any adverse symptoms, and the following day they will be allowed to work from home to ensure they can get sufficient rest. If working from home is difficult due to health reasons such as fever on the day after vaccination, additional paid leave will be granted.
Dongyang Life Insurance has been implementing work-from-home measures since March last year due to the spread of COVID-19, and is making company-wide efforts to prevent the spread of the virus, including staggered working hours and mandatory mask-wearing during work.
A Dongyang Life Insurance official said, "We introduced the vaccine leave system by actively considering the health of employees and government quarantine guidelines," adding, "We will do our best to prioritize the health of our employees and create a healthy and safe working environment."
