[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] The online furniture distribution company Ohaim INT Co., Ltd. is showing strong stock performance. It appears that the news of former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, considered a leading opposition presidential candidate, being an auditor of the company and an alumnus of Seoul National University Law School, as well as his recent meetings with famous architects and economists to discuss reconstruction issues, acted as positive factors.
As of 10:27 AM on the 2nd, Ohaim INT's stock price rose 12.08% from the previous day to 5,290 KRW.
The day before, former Prosecutor General Yoon reportedly met with Professor Mo Jong-rin of Yonsei University Graduate School of International Studies, known as the "Alleyway Economist," and current affairs commentator Jang Ye-chan in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, to discuss alleyway commerce and urban culture.
Yoon also recently met with famous architect Professor Yoo Hyun-joon of Hongik University’s Department of Architecture to discuss issues such as the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) speculation scandal and real estate reconstruction problems. Professor Yoo proposed revitalizing reconstruction on a small to medium scale, and former Prosecutor General Yoon reportedly agreed. As a result, Ohaim INT, which could benefit from the interior demand following reconstruction, has attracted attention.
Additionally, the company’s auditor Song Hae-yeon is an alumnus of Seoul National University Law School with former Prosecutor General Yoon, having passed the 34th Judicial Examination and being a junior from the 24th Judicial Research and Training Institute, which is why the company is also considered a related stock.
