Seocho District Council Holds the 307th 1st Regular Meeting
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho District Council (Chairperson Ansook Kim) will hold the 307th 1st regular meeting for 23 days from the 1st to the 23rd.
This regular meeting will review and approve the 2020 fiscal year settlement and supplementary expenditure, and deliberate on the 2nd supplementary budget for 2021, which has been increased by about 47 billion KRW.
Chairperson Ansook Kim said in the opening remarks, “In June, the month of patriotic veterans, we remember the sacrifices of our fallen heroes and extend our condolences to the families of veterans.”
She continued, “The 1st regular meeting is an important session scheduled to review the 2nd supplementary budget, the 2020 settlement, and district administration questions. We plan to conduct in-depth and meticulous reviews of the supplementary budget and revenue and expenditure settlement to examine the effectiveness of financial roles and the appropriateness of financial execution.”
Finally, she concluded the opening remarks by saying, “The Seocho District Council considers the recovery of livelihoods devastated by COVID-19 as the top priority of the 8th council’s second half and will do its best to provide courage and hope to the residents.”
At the 1st plenary session of this regular meeting, the Director of the Planning and Finance Bureau gave a proposal explanation on the 2nd supplementary budget for general and special accounts and changes in fund operation plans for 2021. Four ordinances were processed, including the partial amendment of the Ordinance on Support for Small Business Owners in Seocho District and the abolition ordinance on Youth Employment Support for Small and Medium Enterprises in Seocho District. Four consent items were also processed, including the consent for private consignment of the Seocho District Village Community Support Center and the consent for private consignment of management and operation of the Seoul Disabled Children Development Support Center (tentative name).
Additionally, a special budget settlement committee was formed to review the 2020 settlement, electing Councilor Mihyo Park as chairperson and Councilor Sungjoo Kim as vice-chairperson.
Meanwhile, the main schedule of the 1st regular meeting includes the review and approval of settlement and supplementary expenditure from the 7th to the 15th, the review of the 2nd supplementary budget from the 17th to the 22nd, and the approval of the settlement and supplementary budget at the 4th plenary session on the 23rd.
