Freelance Platform Kmong Hosts 'IT Startup Challenge'... 50 Million KRW Support Provided

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Kmong, a freelance market operated by CEO Park Hyun-ho, announced on the 1st that it will hold the '1st Kmong IT Startup Challenge,' a competition for prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs planning IT services.

This competition, held for the first time by Kmong this year, will select four final teams and provide startup support funds of 30 million KRW for 1st place, 10 million KRW for 2nd place, and 5 million KRW each for two teams in 3rd place. In particular, Kmong will support the 10 teams advancing to the finals with ▲ matching with Kmong's top 1% 'Prime IT Experts' ▲ dedicated manager care from experts in necessary fields such as design, marketing, and consulting ▲ production of promotional videos for their services.

Applications must be submitted by the 25th of this month through the official Kmong website by submitting an application form and business plan. From the 10 teams advancing to the finals after the first selection, four final teams will be chosen through an on-site presentation on July 21. Park Hyun-ho, CEO of Kmong, said, "We hope this will be an opportunity for entrepreneurs who have concrete ideas and business plans for IT startups but have been unable to find developers or lacked capital." He added, "Based on the difficulties experienced while running a startup, we will continue to strive for a virtuous cycle structure in the industry."
