Samsung Card Obtains International Environmental Management System Certification 'ISO 14001'

Systematic Plan for Activities Addressing Environmental Issues and Climate Change

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Samsung Card announced on the 1st that it has obtained the international standard for environmental management systems, 'ISO 14001.'

ISO 14001 is the highest level certification for environmental management systems awarded to companies that efficiently manage environmental issues and risks according to the standards of the International Organization for Standardization.

Samsung Card is continuously promoting ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) related activities in response to increasing social interest and demands for ESG management. In particular, recognizing the importance of environmental issues and climate change, it continues eco-friendly activities such as producing card plates using eco-friendly materials and digitizing paper statements.

Additionally, the company plans to continuously strengthen its corporate responsibility for environmental protection by introducing eco-friendly management practices such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving energy efficiency.
