[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) is actively promoting the project "Establishment of Activation and Development Plans for the Sincheon Matgol~Olympic Park Area" for future development.

Positive effects such as the development of the MICE industry and an increase in floating population are expected due to the development of the "International Exchange Complex District" around Jamsil Sports Complex. Accordingly, the district held a project kickoff meeting on the 21st to explore ways to extend the development effects of the "International Exchange Complex District" along Olympic-ro to various parts of Songpa-gu, including Sincheon Matgol and Olympic Park.

Through this project, they will establish various development plans and execution strategies, including ▲measures to respond to increased visitor demand to the International Exchange Complex District ▲discovery of key hub facilities to spread the vitality of large-scale development ▲linkage with local resources.

To this end, the focus will be on conducting surveys and analyses of the current status of the areas around Olympic-ro, setting activation visions and basic directions for sustainable development, deriving basic plans such as spatial concepts for major hubs and linkage plans with the International Exchange Complex District, and establishing detailed implementation plans.

In particular, the Olympic-ro area boasts excellent tourist resources representing Seoul, such as Jamsil Sports Complex, Sincheon Matgol, Lotte World, Seokchon Lake, and Olympic Park. By introducing themed hubs and diverse content here and connecting them into a single story, it is expected to transform Olympic-ro into a new landmark.

Furthermore, to establish feasible development plans, priorities for each project will be reviewed, and realizable strategies will be formulated through selection and concentration of detailed strategies.
